The Loshadka Vessel is a modern take on traditional Animalistic Slavic Vessels. Slavics were pagans so animal imagery was prominent in many objects, from dinner wear to sailing ships. With this object, the form was simplified to streamlined lines. Juxtaposition of materials allows to bring a more intimate and dear feeling to the vessel. The outside is flocked, resulting in a pleasant velvety feel, wile the sparkling silver of the water basin reinforces the idea of it being a precious object which would be passed down generations, the same as the vessels from my inspiration.
